How to Download RC Book?
in case, your vehicle rc book forget or tier and want to download RC Book of vehicle online via Parivahan portal, DigiLocker and mParivahan App, follow below methods.
Via Parivahan Website
Steps to Download RC book:
- Open a Vahan Parivahan official website
- first visit a Vahan Parivahan portal https://parivahan.gov.in and select Online Services to Vehicle Related Service.
- Select your State
- select your state (Where your vehicle is registered) and your RTO.
- Select Print Registration certificate
- Open a state vahan portal and select from main menu to Download Documents to Print Registration Certificate.
- Enter Registration Details
- After open link, you will enter Registration number, chassis number and click on Validation button.
- Click on Print Button
- Show your rc book details and print option, click on print butoon and get rc book soft copy on your computer/mobile.

Via DigiLocker
- Open DigiLocker
- First open DigiLocker website or App, login with your credentials. https://www.digilocker.gov.in
- Select Search Document
- After login, select from menu to Search Document option.
- Search Vehicle Registration Certificate
- Now search a Registration of Vehicle and select all state options.
- Enter Details
- enter details such as a Name (as per Aadhaar Card), Registration Number, Chassis Number.
- Click on Get Document
- Now click on Get Document button and will get Rc book on mobile as a soft copy.
Note: Documents stored in Digilocker are considered as original documents.
Via mParivahan App
- Download mParivahan App
- Download mParivahan app from play store or app store. mParivahan App
- Login with mobile number
- Open app and login with your mobile number.
- Click on My Virtual RC
- After login, show option a My Virtual RC and click on it.
- Enter Details
- Enter details such as a registration number and chassis number and click on get details button.
- Fetch Registration certificate
- show your rc book details and you can save or download on mobile.
FAQ:
Is a digital RC valid for driving in India?
Yes, the digital RC downloaded from DigiLocker or mParivahan is legally valid across India under the Motor Vehicles Act and the IT Act 2000. You can show it to traffic police instead of carrying a physical RC card.
What if my RC is lost or damaged?
You can apply for a Duplicate RC via the Parivahan portal or at your RTO.
Upload an FIR copy, vehicle insurance, address proof, and pay the applicable fee. Once approved, you can download the duplicate RC.
Is there any fee for RC download?
